By tapping into our correspondents' bank network via the System for World-wide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (S.W.I.F.T.) you can effortlessly transfer funds to any bank you wish as fast as you wish:

  • Ordinary transfer - funds are accessible within 2 business days
  • Express transfer - funds are accessible within 1 business day
  • Super Express transfer - funds are accessible within the same business day

With your best interest in mind, we at Postbank make sure to give you all available information relevant to your specific case, while at the same time recommending the best possible solution. Having designed our services to protect your interest in any case, you can rely on payment services that ensure flexibility and security. That is why when you consider the charges incurred during wire transfers, we provide you with options where:

  • all charges are covered by the beneficiary and they are deducted from the amount of the transfer (BEN option)
  • charges are split, where those to the correspondent bank are covered by the ordering customer and the rest by the beneficiary (SHARE* option)
  • all charges are covered by the ordering customer and the beneficiary receives the full amount (OUR option);

Note: All wire transfers to and from other banks in the country or abroad are ordered in strict compliance with the relevant national or international regulatory framework.

*Please note that payments for EEA countries are in accordance with EU directives. Therefore charges of ordering bank are paid by the originator and the fees of the beneficiary`s bank are for the beneficiary`s account. Correspondent banks participating as intermediary banks in transfers for EEA countries do not deduct commissions.

Payment orders documents required:

For transactions up to 25 000 BGN or the equivalent any foreign currency:

  • wire transfer order form

For transactions between 25 000* and 100 000 BGN or the equivalent any foreign currency:

  • wire transfer order form
  • evidence justifying the transfer (contracts, indices, etc.)

For transactions above 100 000 BGN or the equivalent any foreign currency:

  • wire transfer order form
  • standard statistic form in accordance with art.3, §1 of Ordinance N:27 of the Bulgarian National Bank (applicable to payments and transfers to and from abroad between local and foreign natural and legal entities)
  • evidence justifying the transfer (contracts, indices, etc.)


*Note: As per Art. 4 § 7 of the Law On Measures Against Money Laundering: Persons, conducting an operation or a transaction through or with a person under Art. 3, §2 and 3 in the amount exceeding 30,000 BGN or the equivalent in foreign currency, 10,000 BGN respectively or the equivalent in foreign currency, where the payment is made in cash, shall declare the origin of the funds. Persons under Art. 3, §2 and 3 requires the declaration before performing the given operation or transaction.
