Postbank donated BGN 50,000 to N. I. Pirogov University Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine (N. I. Pirogov Hospital) for the purchase of medical supplies for protection of the medical staff of the hospital amid the increasing number of Covid-19 infections and patients, as well as for equipment for the recently opened units for Covid-19 checks and tests.

I would like to express my deep gratitude and respect to the medics of Bulgaria for their professional approach and self-sacrifice. Donating is a gesture which, when done for the right cause and in the right time, will completely restore the faith in goodness,” Petia Dimitrova, CEO of Postbank, pointed out.

The donation will enable us to purchase supplies with which to protect our colleagues’ health and equip the recently opened centres where medical teams test and examine patients. This will be of utmost importance especially now with the winter approaching,” Prof. Dr. Assen Baltov, Executive Director of N. I. Pirogov Hospital, said.
This has been yet another donation of Postbank aimed to support the efforts of the medics and hospital staff at the frontline in the battle against Covid-19. In the first days after a state of emergency was declared in Bulgaria, the bank helped the country’s biggest maternal and child health hospital, Maychin Dom, in Sofia. The financial institution made a financial donation in the spring to Hadzhi Dimitar Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment in Sliven, as well as to St. Ekaterina Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment in Sofia.
