Maximum security when paying online with bank cards

To provide you with the highest level of security when making online payments with Postbank cards, we offer the option of additional transaction authentication.

This enables us to comply with regulatory requirements for strong customer authentication in remote payment transactions, as well as with the latest security standards of Visa and Mastercard.

Payments made on merchant websites participating in the Visa Secure and Mastercard Identity Check programs must be authenticated using a software token, namely a mobile application. m-Token Postbank.

The application can be downloaded free of charge to your smartphone from Google Play, the App Store, or AppGallery. It serves as an additional authentication tool and provides a secure way to confirm your online card payments, as well as transactions performed through internet banking.

What do you need to do to continue making online payments:

Log in to your profile in Postbank Web. If you are not yet registered for the service, you can easily register online here or visit your nearest Postbank branch.

Request a software token through your online banking service by navigating to Security > Token Management > Request New Token.

Set a PIN code of your choice to access the application.

How to use m-Token Postbank for online card payments?

After entering your card details on a website displaying the Visa Secure or Mastercard Identity Check logo, a Postbank confirmation window will open for additional authentication.

You will receive a push notification to confirm the transaction. Open it and sign in to m-Token Postbank using your PIN code or biometric authentication.

Confirm the payment in the application after verifying that the transaction details (amount and merchant) are correct.

If you have opened the merchant's website on the same device on which the m-Token Postbank application is installed, after confirming the transaction, return to the merchant's website to complete the transaction successfully.
