Important guidance when using your QES:

QES = handwritten signature

Look after your QES with the same care as your personal identity documents — it carries full legal force.

Insert only when signing

Insert your smart card or USB key only when you are signing, and remove it immediately afterwards.

Do not leave it in the computer

Leaving the signature in the computer after signing creates a risk of misuse

If in doubt, notify us straight away

If you suspect any unauthorised use, notify the issuer and the bank without delay.

A new registration cancels the previous one

When you register a new QES, the previous certificate is cancelled — please remove it from your browser.

When you renew the certificate

Any orders with the status "Awaiting execution" will be rejected — please submit and sign them again.
