Panagiotis Mavridis
Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Management Board
Mr. Panagiotis Mavridis is Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors; he joined the Postbank team in June 2019. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in banking, gained in various management positions in Greece.
Mr. Mavridis is a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee, where he actively participates in making operational decisions at the highest level of management, contributing to the achievement of Postbank’s strategic goals and financial results.
His responsibilities include managing and overseeing the functions of the Central Operations Department and the Credit Administration Department.
Even before joining the Postbank team in Bulgaria, Mr. Mavridis worked closely with the Bank in his capacity as Regional Manager for Bulgaria in the International Operations Department of Eurobank Group.
During this period, his role at Postbank - which became Eurobank Group’s most profitable subsidiary - was of critical importance. As a Project Manager leading a team of more than 100 employees, Mr. Mavridis oversaw the acquisitions of Alpha Bank’s Bulgarian branch and Piraeus Bank Bulgaria, which were not only profitable for the Bank but were also completed in record time.
Mr. Mavridis completed his education at the University of Piraeus, Greece, where he earned a master’s degree in Financial Analysis, and at the University of Patras, Greece, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
Mr. Mavridis is a licensed trader of derivative financial instruments on the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX) in Greece.
