Postbank reports an impressive 71% increase in payment volumes and 32% more active mobile banking users
Postbank App continues to accelerate its development and expand the range of opportunities available to the bank’s customers. Having established itself as a preferred channel for everyday banking, the app is now preparing for its next major step: access to international financial markets and investments in stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), crypto assets, commodities, and metals. The service will be delivered through a partnership with a globally recognized international investment platform.
Data for the first nine months of 2026 highlights the growing role of Postbank App in personal finance management. The number of payments made through the application increased by nearly 47% compared to the same period last year, while payment volumes recorded a remarkable year-on-year growth of 71%.
The number of active mobile banking users has risen by 32% compared to the same period last year. Postbank customers use the app more than 20 times per month on average, making it an integral part of their everyday financial habits. This growing adoption is matched by exceptionally high customer ratings, with scores of 4.9 in the App Store and 4.8 in Google Play, where tens of thousands of users have given the application positive reviews.
These results are driven by the continuous enhancement of functionality and the bank’s commitment to making financial services faster, more accessible, and more convenient. In 2026, Postbank introduced the upgraded Postbank App, featuring a new design and an enhanced user experience, as part of the broader renewal of the brand and its “Inspired by You” platform.
According to the financial institution, becoming a Postbank customer has never been easier. In less than five minutes and entirely online, customers can choose the package that best suits their needs and gain access to an account, debit card, digital card with a separate account, and a range of additional benefits without visiting a branch or going through unnecessary steps. In addition, the current promotional campaign offers another benefit: up to 12 months of package maintenance fee waiver for everyone.
The application is also widely used for non-banking services. Payments for parking services through Blink Parking have nearly tripled since the beginning of the year, while more transactions were completed in the third quarter alone than during the entire first half of 2026. In addition, customers gain access to exclusive Beyond Banking offers in areas such as travel, technology, home solutions, and lifestyle. These offers are personalized based on the customer’s profile and behavior, making them more relevant to individual interests and needs.
Among Postbank’s unique digital solutions is the Split Bill functionality within ONE wallet, which simplifies the sharing of expenses among friends. On average, one bill is split between five people, making the service a convenient solution for managing shared everyday expenses.
Postbank continues to develop a new generation of digital services. Planned innovations include an AI-powered assistant to facilitate everyday banking, an entirely new application experience tailored to the needs of users under the age of 18, and a redesigned digital lending journey, making the borrowing process more intuitive and helping hundreds of thousands of customers achieve their goals more quickly and easily.
The launch of the integrated investment functionality is planned for early 2027. Customers will be able to invest directly through Postbank App in shares of thousands of international companies, ETFs, crypto assets, commodities, gold, and other metals. The ability to invest with small amounts and gain exposure through fractional investing in selected assets will make access to global markets more accessible.
Through these initiatives, Postbank is further evolving the role of Postbank App, transforming it from a channel for day-to-day banking transactions into a unified digital ecosystem for personal financial management, with the potential to offer even more personalized services and opportunities in the years ahead.
