As we have already informed you, the acquisition of the majority stake of the capital of Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD (Piraeus Bank) by Eurobank Bulgaria AD (Postbank) was finalized on 13 June 2019.

On November 12, 2019, the legal merger of the two institutions took place. From this date (Date of legal merger), Postbank became a legal successor of Piraeus Bank, acquiring the entire property, rights and liabilities of Piraeus Bank Bulgaria, laid out in the lender’s contracts with clients.

On 18th of November 2019 the operational merger with Piraeus Bank Bulgaria AD (Piraeus Bank) was successfully finalized. Changes in the provisions of the existing contracts, General Terms and Conditions, Tariffs and Interest Rate Bulletins, concerning Piraeus Bank’s clients, are enforced as of the Date of the operational merger.
