Postbank launches the new season of “Finance under Ctrl” with the first interactive phygital escape room

Postbank is building on its digital financial literacy campaign “Finance under Ctrl” and is launching the new season with the innovative Cyber City platform and the first-of-its-kind phygital escape room, Cyber Room. In the second edition of the campaign, the bank expands the initiative with even more practical and engaging formats aimed at informed and responsible behavior in the digital environment.

With the new platform, Postbank continues to invest sustainably in its commitment to improving financial and digital culture in society by using the most modern and creative tools to reach all users of digital services. Through Cyber City, Postbank speaks the language of the younger generation and offers gamified content that makes knowledge about cybersecurity accessible and easy to understand. The platform immerses users in an interactive environment where they go through a series of realistic situations related to online payments, personal data protection, phishing messages, and recognizing fraudulent practices. Through short case studies and questions based on everyday digital scenarios, the platform helps participants test their knowledge and build safer habits when using digital services. Anyone who successfully completes the challenge can enter a raffle to win an iPhone 17.

“Finance under Ctrl” goes beyond traditional notions of financial literacy and creates a new phygital model of interaction that combines digital reality with a physical experience. The challenges from the online platform will be brought into the innovative Cyber Room — an educational escape room where participants go through a series of puzzles, with the main goal of “saving” their personal data and preventing misuse.

Through logical tasks and practical case studies, the format demonstrates in an accessible way how such risks arise and how people can recognize and avoid them in their daily use of online services.

As digital financial services become increasingly integrated into everyday life, the need for awareness of accompanying threats also grows. Fraudulent practices are becoming more sophisticated, and the gap between awareness and vulnerability affects a wide range of people — from users who are just entering the digital world to those whose financial activities are entirely online. “Finance under Ctrl” addresses these risks by creating a platform based on the concept that awareness remains the most reliable protection.

“Financial literacy and digital safety are now an essential part of the everyday decisions we make. With ‘Finance under Ctrl,’ we continue to develop the initiative with purpose, because we believe that awareness and practical knowledge give people the confidence to manage their finances responsibly and navigate the digital environment with ease. We believe prevention is possible, and it is not necessary to become a victim of cyber fraud to learn the basic rules of responsible digital behavior. Our role as a bank is not only to provide services but to be a reliable partner in building this culture,” Postbank commented.

The initiative is based on the understanding that knowledge and practical preparation give people the confidence to use digital services safely and responsibly. Through Cyber City and Cyber Room, Postbank provides accessible and applicable content that supports both users with limited experience and those who constantly seek new knowledge and want to strengthen their skills for safe online behavior.

The Cyber City platform is available at https://www.finansipodctrl.bg/cybercity/,  and the Cyber Room welcomes visitors at 7B “Bademova Gora” Street in Sofia.
