Public voting has started in support of the projects competing for grant funding from Postbank in the innovative and fully digital initiative in support of social entrepreneurship “Universe of Opportunities”. This year, 105 projects have been registered in the program in the three main categories – “Digital Innovation”, “Education” and “Green Projects”, and until 28 July 2022, every user has the opportunity to vote for their favourite at www.PostbankUniverse.bg. The 30 projects that receive the strongest public support will reach the final stage, in which an independent jury will determine the winners in the three categories to receive a grant of up to BGN 10,000 for their implementation.
“We are proud of the success of our “Universe of Opportunities” initiative. The program we created on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Postbank aroused wide public interest, which is why we decided to implement it for the second year in a row. In this edition, there are again many attractive ideas and projects with a focus on social entrepreneurship for the benefit of society, which deserve to be supported. Thanks to our common goals and with a vision for sustainable actions that lead to the improvement of the environment and positive change for a better future, we will help with grant funding of three real and effective projects for the public benefit to develop their potential,” Postbank commented.
Within the first stage of the second edition of the socially responsible program “Universe of Opportunities”, citizens and/or non-profit organizations had the opportunity to present their attractive ideas with a focus on social entrepreneurship in three key areas – “Digital Innovation”, “Education”, and “Green projects” on the special digital platform www.PostbankUniverse.bg. The second stage starts on 29 June 2022 and will be open until 28 July 2022. Each user can support a project of their choice after registering with an e-mail or a Facebook profile at www.PostbankUniverse.bg. Voting is limited to one vote per project in each of the three categories. The finalists who gathered the most votes from the audience on the platform – 10 in each category – will be announced on 1 August 2022 at www.PostbankUniverse.bg and on the website of Postbank, after which their presentation in the profiles of the bank’s social networks will begin.
The 105 projects for the benefit of society which participate in the competition for grant funding are respectively:
- “Digital Innovation” category – 24 applications
- “Education” category – 50 applications
- “Green Projects” category – 31 applications
The three winners – one project in each category – will be announced and presented by the jury in September. The value of the financial assistance that the winner of each of them can receive is BGN 10,000, and its authors are committed to a deadline for implementation within six months from the date of receiving the grant.
