Postbank integrates an innovative approach to attract trainees

Postbank has created a special Instagram channel PostbankSuperstarter to build on its innovative talent recruitment strategy. The account has been developed specifically for the financial institution's internship programme and will be part of the bank's career platform. PostbankSuperstarter aims to reach all talented and ambitious young people who are looking for opportunities for a successful career start in a modern company, an innovator in the banking services market, one of the leaders in the sector with over 30 years of history. One of the biggest advantages of the new account is that it will allow for a quick and easy application for an internship at the bank. Those interested in the programme only need to send three photos of themselves as a private message or share a story in their profile in which they tag PostbankSuperstarter. After this first contact, they will be contacted by an expert of the bank, and they will receive further information and have the opportunity to attend an interview for the respective position.

 

PostbankSuperstarter was created to meet the needs of active young people who communicate easily, see challenges as new opportunities and are able to adapt and develop their talents in dynamic situations. The innovative strategy is reflected in the leading message of the campaign - "You are much more than a CV to us". In this way, the bank demonstrates a completely new concept of personnel selection, which places the personality of future candidates at the center and focuses attention on the complex skills, qualities and ambitions that can unfold their potential.

 

The internship is paid. It takes place with a flexible working time of 4, 6 or 8 hours to suit the students' schedules, and its duration is from one to three months, with an option to extend it to six months. An individual development plan is one of the advantages of the programme, as well as the fact that each trainee has a mentor, an expert from the bank, who introduces him/her to the specifics of a given position and actively supports him/her throughout the process of gaining experience through participation in real and ongoing business projects. Those interested in the programme can apply at any of the institution's locations from its extensive branch network across the country, and the positions advertised at its head office are in the following areas – Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, IT and Technology, Credit Administration, Legal Affairs, Cyber Security, Finance, Marketing, etc.

 

The programme participants also have exclusive access to innovative training and certification platforms, as well as the opportunity to participate in master classes. Successful graduates receive a certificate for a completed internship and career counselling for professional development and may be invited to continue their professional development at the bank.

The internship programme has been part of Postbank's CSR policy for more than 14 years. Last year's edition was an outstanding success, with data showing that 421 candidates applied for an internship at the financial institution. In 2021, 115 young talents decided to continue their career path in the bank, while 20 percent were appointed to permanent positions.

 

Over the years, Postbank has been awarded many times for its innovative solutions in building a successful and motivated team and in establishing a strong employer brand.
