Postbank Business Run 2019 raises over BGN 11,000 in support of two causes

The total of 306 teams from 119 companies from various business sectors joined the charity relay run Postbank Business Run 2019, which was held yesterday on the territory of Business Park Sofia. The seventh and the largest edition of the inter-company competition was organized once again by Begach Running Club with Postbank's support. The largest teambuilding event in Bulgaria was implemented in support of two causes. It raised over BGN 11,000 which will be donated for 12 Continue scholarships of the National Foster Care Association and BCause Foundation to help students living in foster families continue their successful performance at school and to the project of Water Way Foundation, which provides water rehabilitation to children with disabilities.

The initiative brought together nearly 1,300 participants, as the runners were also joined by 45 children aged four to 16, who competed in Kids Run, which is carried out by certified coaches under the IAAF –Kid’s Athletics programme. The CEO Dash competition took place for a third year, and was joined by ten executive directors of various companies.

The relay run winner was SAP Top Team of the company SAP Labs with a time of 1:00:26. The "Best Female Team" award was presented to SAP Tech Girls from SAP Labs with a time of 1:13:21. The fastest runner in the CEO Dash competition for executive directors and senior managers was Boyan Rashev of Denkstatt Bulgaria who ran the distance of one kilometer for 2:58, while the fastest runner among the ladies was Nina Prodanova-Lozeva from the company ITCE (Innovative Training and Consulting Solutions) with a time of 4:07. Postbank's best team performed outstandingly and ranked 16th with a total time of 1:07:17. The financial institution joined the competition with a total of 16 teams.

In 2019, the competition will take place in two more cities: on 9 June it will be held in Varna, and on 6 October – in Plovdiv. The main purpose of Postbank Business Run is to draw the attention of the people to a healthy lifestyle by provoking their desire to win through teamwork and cooperation in the name of a noble cause.
